Game Results

In their last game before the new year, the A's squad played their second game against the UVic Vikes. With a place in the province-wide Premier division already secured, coach Winston opted not to play himself and Mark Lawson, instead using the opportunity to play the bench. The result was a close but disappointing loss, 22-17. I'll have a complete game write-up later in the week, when I hear from my reporter in the field.

The ladies also played on Saturday, with an exhibition against Courtenay. I don't have an exact score, but Velox had no trouble handling the green squad, only recently formed.

Coming Up

Until January, we are going to be giving the field a rest. The practice pitch will remain open, but the main field is closed to all users. Tonight and Thursday, we will be having touch rugby for anyone that wishes to join in. In the coming weeks we may be organizing some different activities, focusing on indoor training.

This Thursday evening will also be Poker Night part II, after our run.

Win a Harley

Do you have your ticket yet? The club is participating in a BCRU lottery draw with a main prize of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. If you are interested, you can talk to any player or executive member at the club. The draw is January 30th.
