JUNIOR BOYS & GIRLS RUGBY
U16 U17 & U19

Velox has a strong tradition of providing the finest training to young rugby enthusiasts. With one of the longest serving Youth & Junior divisions on the Island, Velox is committed to teaching and playing rugby at the highest level.

Our Junior Rugby program based in Victoria BC, has been part of the Velox club since the 1980’s. In 2005 our U16 Boys team won the Vancouver Island Rugby Union Championship and went on the play well at the BC Provincial Championships.

Velox is fortunate to have its own clubhouse adjacent to our field. This enables us to host touring teams with ease and Club is the centre of the community and provides the focus for many activities within the town and surrounding locality. All organisations are welcome to use the facilities and are encouraged to do so.

Velox is a favourite fixture for many international touring school and club teams. We provide excellent facilities and are world famous for hosting visitors from around the world.

Rugby is a free-flowing, physical game that develops speed, endurance, team spirit and confidence. Club Rugby is an excellent way to prepare players for school rugby and expands the rugby season (schools typically play only in the spring or fall).
Velox's Junior Rugby Programs complement other sports by teaching athletes game strategy and the ability to "read space" on the field. Velox Valhallians RFC of Victoria, BC is a member of the Vancouver Island Rugby Union (VIRU) and the BC Rugby Union (BCRU) under the auspices of Rugby Canada.

New registrations are welcome at any time. Players are required to provide their own shorts, socks, and cleats. Junior Jerseys are provided through the club or may acquired at very reasonable rates.

Velox Junior Rugby Coaches are experienced rugby players and athletes many who have or may currently play on National and Senior Velox men's & women's teams. Velox senior and National players are available to coach in the school league. Velox coaches endeavour to work with schools to avoid conflicts in game and practice schedules.
